MEEE MII BY MB Brings Fresh Design Perspective to Chandigarh Times Fashion Week

Mahima Benal's label MEEE MII BY MB brought a distinctive design perspective to the runway at Chandigarh Times Fashion Week 2026, presented under IIFD Spotlight. The showcase focused on individuality in design, giving the collection its own identity separate from a standard group showcase.

Where a typical student showcase blends several designers into one combined presentation, IIFD Spotlight is built differently. It exists specifically to let a single student label stand on its own, with its own name, its own styling direction and its own moment on the runway. For MEEE MII BY MB, that meant the collection was judged and viewed as an independent brand rather than one entry among many.

This kind of platform also changes what students take away from the experience. Presenting a full personal collection, rather than contributing pieces to a group line, means handling the complete creative process solo, from concept and fittings through to how the final looks are styled and sequenced for the runway. It's closer to how an independent designer would actually launch a label in the industry.

It's a clear example of how IIFD's Spotlight platform gives student designers the chance to present original, personal work on a public runway rather than only as part of a larger institutional collection. For anyone tracking new names coming out of Chandigarh's fashion design institutes, MEEE MII BY MB is one to watch.
